The Archery GB Instructor Award (3 days) is an entry-level training course that prepares learners to deliver fun and safe introductory sessions for beginners.
The EASI Rider Course (4½ hours) is an interactive, hands-on learning experience that is both practical and enjoyable. As well as teaching safe riding techniques, the course covers safety clothing and protective equipment, pre-ride inspections, risk assessment and environmental issues.
Foundation Safety and Rescue Training – 1 day
It provides training on key skills needed to operate safely and deal with common emergencies in a sheltered water environment. These skills then form the foundations for safety and rescue throughout British Canoeing awards.

BCU 2 Star Award – 2 days
The 2 Star Award is an improvement award which supports the development of fundamental paddle-sport skills on sheltered water.
It recognises a paddler’s understanding of how the paddle, boat and water interact and their ability to control movement of both canoes and kayaks using fundamental skills.
*This award is split into one day training and one day assessment (which will take place on the river Hamble) & candidates must been able to demonstrate a basic level of paddling. Prerequisites can be found here

Combined course fee (FSRT & BCU 2 Star Award) £160
BC Paddlesport Instructor Course (Formally Level 1 Coach award)
The course prepares coaches, for running taster sessions, coaching introductory core skills, coaching paddlers in a variety of craft and coaching in sheltered and very sheltered water conditions, normally with the support of a more qualified coach.
